BGC Contracting's civil team has been awarded another contract for Rio Tinto Coal Australia at there Clermont Mine project, which is located approximately 110kms north east of Emerald in Queensland.

The $14.0 million contract is for the construction of the overland conveyor and it is the third package of work to be awarded to BGC on the Clermont project.

Greg Heylen - BGC Contracting Executive General Manager Civil, said, "The excellent working relationship we have developed with Rio Tinto Coal Australia on the other work we have successfully completed for them is ensuring that we are winning more packages of work. Again, the award of this work is directly attributable to the safe and timely delivery of past projects which is a result of the excellent civil team we have based in Queensland. We look forward to a continued rewarding relationship with Rio Tinto on this and future projects."
