BGC Secures Two Major Aggregate Supply Contracts

BGC Contracting's civil crushing team has been awarded two contracts to supply rail ballast from the companies Elazac quarry located approximately 50km south of Port Hedland in Western Australia.

The first of the new contracts valued at approximately $30 million is for the supply of ballast material to Fortescue Metals Groups, The Pilbara Infrastructure Pty Ltd (TPI). The scope of the agreement is to supply 700,000 tonnes of rail ballast for the TPI railway line in the Pilbara.

The second contract is valued at approximately $50 million and is for the supply of some 1.4 million tonne of various ballast, capping and fill materials for the BHP Billiton Iron Ore - Rapid Growth 5 Project railway line.
