Alliances
"Relationship Based" agreements are the way of the future.
Our experience has shown that these agreements are ideally suited to projects where a close working relationship between the client, consultant and the contractor are vital in ensuring the best outcomes for the project.
BGC Contracting has a proven track record of working with clients on difficult projects where risks exist, and where a method of reducing those risks has not been fully identified. This is often the case where the works are unique, or unknowns make managing the project difficult. Relationship based contracting suits these types of projects because it enables the risks as well as the rewards to be shared.
Benefits that result from relationship based contracting include:
- Increased flexibility to respond to a changing work scope
- Innovative and potentially breakthrough results
- Better risk management
- Enhanced business and personal relationships
- Common alignment of project goals
- Reduced costs and project lead time
- Better quality
- Improved employee satisfaction and retention
- Optimum use of resources ("One Team" approach)
We invite you to discuss the benefits of relationship based contracting with members of our Management Team, who can demonstrate how this strategy may be suited to your project.
Recent relationship based projects that BGC Contracting has been involved with are:

The project has an estimated value of $800 million, and includes the mining, drilling & blasting, crushing and stockpiling and train loading of iron ore at Koolyanobbing. BGC Contracting is providing these services under a 5 year agreement that commenced in July 2007.
Mt Gibson Iron Ltd - Koolan Island Mining Project
